Terms of Use
Effective Date: October 15, 2026
1. Acceptance
By using this website, you agree to these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.
2. Legal Practice and Website Purpose
Juvenile Justice Defense Group presents information about legal services involving juvenile criminal defense, written for parents and guardians of a minor who is questioned, arrested, detained, or charged, and offers a means to request consultation with the Firm. Information about a particular state’s law is general information and is not a statement that the Firm has an office or attorneys licensed in that state. Representation is provided only where the Firm’s attorneys are permitted to practice. Content may constitute attorney advertising.
3. General Information, Not Individual Legal Advice
Website materials are provided for general educational purposes. They are not legal advice tailored to your circumstances and should not replace a consultation with a qualified attorney.
4. No Attorney-Client Relationship by Website Use
Visiting the website, calling, or submitting an inquiry does not itself establish an attorney-client relationship. Representation begins only after the Firm agrees to represent you, including completion of any required conflicts review and engagement agreement.
5. No Obligation to Accept a Matter
Submitting an inquiry does not obligate the Firm to accept your matter or provide legal advice. Do not rely on a website submission to preserve a filing deadline or protect a legal right.
6. No Guarantee of Results
Prior results, testimonials, descriptions of experience, and website examples do not guarantee a similar outcome. Every matter depends on its facts and applicable law.
7. Appropriate Website Use
You agree to use the website lawfully and not to interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, distribute malicious code, impersonate others, or misuse website materials.
8. Accuracy and Updates
We endeavor to maintain useful information but cannot guarantee that every page is complete, current, or applicable to your circumstances. Laws and procedures change and differ from state to state.
9. Submissions and Confidentiality
Provide accurate information that you are authorized to share. Do not submit unnecessary highly sensitive information through general forms. The Firm handles prospective-client and client information consistent with applicable professional obligations, but website submission alone does not create representation.
10. Communications
When you request contact, you consent to communications reasonably responsive to your inquiry, subject to applicable law and consent choices. Calls and text messages, including autodialed or prerecorded ones, are made only with the consent applicable law requires. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of text messages, or HELP for help.
11. Calls and Recording
Calls may be recorded or monitored for legitimate practice purposes only when permitted by law and after required notice or consent.
12. Professional Judgment
The Firm’s attorneys retain independent responsibility for conflicts checks, legal advice, litigation strategy, fees, engagement decisions, and compliance with applicable professional standards.
13. Third-Party Services
Third-party websites, scheduling platforms, payment systems, and technology providers may have separate terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for services outside our control, except as applicable law provides.
14. Automated Tools
Some administrative website functions may use automated systems. Outputs may be incomplete or inaccurate and do not constitute individualized legal advice.
15. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, website text, design, graphics, branding, and other original content are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. You may view materials for personal informational use but may not reproduce or exploit them unlawfully.
16. User Feedback
If you submit nonconfidential feedback, you permit its reasonable use to improve website operations, subject to the Privacy Policy and applicable law. This does not authorize disclosure of protected client information.
17. Privacy
The Privacy Policy describes how personal information is handled and is incorporated into these Terms.
18. Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, website functionality and general content are provided on an “as available” basis without a promise of uninterrupted service. Nothing here disclaims duties or liability that cannot lawfully be disclaimed by an attorney or law firm.
19. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses resulting solely from interruptions, third-party technical failures, or reliance on general website content. Nothing in these Terms limits legal-malpractice liability, professional duties, or other rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
20. Governing Law
These website Terms are governed by California law to the extent applicable. Any venue provision is subject to mandatory law and applicable professional obligations.
21. Severability and Changes
If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to the extent lawful. We may update these Terms by posting a revised version with a new effective date.
